So often, in our lives, we can tend to always be rushing into the next season, the next big thing, or the next success that is going to make us happy. What about the season and the moment that you are in that God has meant for you to be? Why do we still feel discontent in our present, the now? Jesus has a way of showing us how to slow down and be present with the Lord. In his season of ministry, Jesus intentionally slowed down, got alone and quiet, and went to a desolate place to slow down and pray.

We use the analogy of gardening of embracing the seasons we are in. Plants are meant to grow and thrive in the spring and summer. But, plants are also meant to be reaped, slow down, and die in the fall and winter to prepare for new growth for the next season.

But, if you do not know how to begin the process of slowing down and be present with God if you are always rushing into the next season, don’t worry.

We have some steps to slow down and be present in the episode for you.

There is also another “extreme” of staying in the present that is laid out on in the episode unexpectedly, but it is important to note as well. The extreme is being too comfortable in the season you are in and you do not want to change or transition into the next season. If this is speaking to YOU, then this episode is for you, too.
